Team Announcements
Bendle
In a game that saw 15 lead changes and was hard fought to the end, the Lady Eagles fell to Bendle 52 to 44. Sterling Degayner hit a 3 with 3:38 left in the game to give the Eagles a 43 to 42 lead. On the ensuing possession Bendle scored a basket off a mad scramble and the momentum turned their way. Bendle made 17 of 21 free throws including 6 in a row at the end to make the score not indicative of how close the game was. Cam Williams hit 3 huge 3-point baskets and shot very well on her way to 11 points. Sterling led the team with 12 and played ball hawking defense. Audrey Stiert was aggressive on offense and made 6 free throws on her way to 8 points. Bridgett Adams and Madison Maxheimer rebounded well and also added some scoring. Erin Gillespie and Bella Blank both played good defense on Bendle's scoring guard and helped give the Eagles a chance to win.
Flushing
Last night the Girls Varsity Basketball team traveled to Flushing where they were outscored by the Raiders 63-35. Sterling DeGayner led the team in scoring with 17 points, 12 of which all came in the 4th quarter. Madison Maxheimer followed with 6 points and Erin Gillespie contributed 4.
Clio
The Linden girls varsity basketball team had a fantastic win over Clio Friday night. It was a close game most of the night with Linden going into the locker room at halftime down by 1. The score was 24-25. In the second half the Eagles began to pull away from the Mustangs. The Eagles were up by 9 with five and a half minutes left in the 4th. The Mustangs tried to come back and made it back within 3. The Mustangs attempted a 3 point buzzer shot to tie up the game, but missed. The Eagles won 45-42. Sterling DeGayner led the teem in scoring with 13 points, Maddie Maxheimer followed with 9 and Erin Gillespie added 7.
Brandon
The Linden Eagle Varsity girls played their best 1/2 of basketball this year, but came up just short. Trailing 23 to 12 at the half Linden came out and outscored Brandon 15 to 12 in the 3rd quarter. Still trailing by 8 to open the 4th quarter Sterling DeGayner hit two 3 point shots in the first 50 seconds of the 4th quarter. With 4:38 to play Cam Williams hit a huge basket to close the gap to one. The game was back and forth for the next two minutes as Bridget Adams hit 2 clutch free throws to again close the game to one with a little over 2 minutes to play. Linden had some opportunities to take the lead but the shots just didn't fall. Brandon closed out the game hitting on all their free throws to win 51-44. Sterling DeGayner lead Linden with 17 followed by Maddison Maxheimer's 10. Bridget Adams had 6 and Cam Willams had 5. Bella Blank, Jordan Holscher and Erin Gillespie all had 2 points.
Goodrich
The Eagles had a disappointing loss last night versus Goodrich. The Eagles were only down by 7 at the half but fell 40-58. Sterling DeGayner led the team with 20 points and 6 rebounds. Bella Blank contributed 6 points and had 7 rebounds. Bridgette Adams also had 7 rebounds. The Eagles will be taking on Brandon this Friday night at Brandon High School at 6 pm.
Brandon
Friday night Linden girls lost to Brandon 60 - 46. Megan Kenny scored 17 points, 10 rebounds. Taylor Smith 15 points.
Holly
Linden girls beat Holly Friday night In OT 46 to 45. Taylor Smith led Linden with 17 points. Sterling DeGayner had 16 and Megan Kenny had 12 with 11 rebounds. Smith hit the game tying basket with 10 seconds remaining in OT and got fouled. She made the free throw to take a 1 point lead and Linden's defense held on for the victory.
Kearsley
Sterling DeGayner led the Eagles to a 60-32 victory on the road against Flint Kearsley with 21 points of her own. Taylor Smith added 14 points and Megan Kenney had her third double-double of the season with 10 points and 13 rebounds. The Eagles were up by only 6 at the half, but came out strong in the second half and outscored Kearsley 21-6 in the 3rd quarter to open up the lead and seal the victory.
Fenton
The Eagles hosted Fenton on Friday night and held on for a 39-37 victory over the second place Tigers. Taylor Smith led all scorers with 17 points and 5 assists. Sterling DeGaynor had 8 points and 3 steals. Lauren Kline, Rhiannon Morse and Madison Maxheimer were huge off the bench defensively. Madison also hit a big 3 in the 3rd quarter to help stretch the lead.
Owosso
Megan Kenney had a double-double to lead the Eagles to a 61-40 win at Owosso in non-league competition on Tuesday night. Sterling DeGayner had 15 points and Taylor Smith added 13 for the Eagles.
Flushing
The Eagles traveled to Flushing and were defeated 32-52. Sterling DeGayner led Linden with 14 points followed by Taylor Smith with 12 and Megan Kenney and Madison Maxheimer with 3 apiece. Linden will be on the road again on Friday at Holly with a 6:00 tip.
Lake Fenton
Taylor Smith's 20 points led the Eagles to a season opening victory at Lake Fenton on Monday night 65-30. Alexis Brant added 14 points and Sterling DeGayner had 12. The Eagles will host Brighton on Wednesday.
Eagles Advance
 Linden beat Brandon Monday night 51 to 44. Taylor Smith led Linden with 10 points. She had 7 assists and 4 steals. Alyssa Logie, Meghan Kenney and Bri Holscher each had 8 points. Sterling Degaynor had 7 and Sydney Elmer had 6. Meghan Kenney grabbed 9 rebounds and Alyssa Logie had 7.  The Eagles will now play Holly on Wednesday night at 7:00pm at home in the District semi-finals.  Come support our Eagles.
Kearsley
Linden varsity girls played Kearsley Tuesday night and won 35 to 25. Alyssa Logie and Jessie Spencer led Linden with 10 points apiece. Taylor Smith had 8 points. Megan Kenney, Madison Polen and Jessie Spencer each had 7 rebounds; Alyssa Logie had 6 rebounds.
Swartz Creek
Linden girls varsity basketball played Swartz Creek and lost 50 to 42. Taylor Smith led Linden in scoring with 9 points and 6 steals. Alyssa Logie had 8 points and 7 rebounds. Jessie Spencer added 6 points and 6 rebounds. 
Brandon
Linden girls varsity basketball played Brandon Wednesday night and lost 41 to 26. Sterling Degayner led Linden in scoring with 6 points. She also had 3 rebounds and 1 assist. Bri Holscher had 5 points. Alyssa Logie and Rachel Starr's each had 4 points.  
Clio
 Linden v Clio - Linden lost 51 to 42. Linden made a strong comeback in the 4th quarter led by Taylor Smith scoring 15 of her game high 23 points. Bri Holscher added 7 in the quarter to end up with 12. Alyssa Logie was strong on the boards with 9 rebounds.
Lapeer West
Friday night at Linden the girls varsity played Lapeer West and lost 57 to 38. Bri Holscher had 8 points, Taylor Smith also had 8 points. Alyssa Logie had 9 rebounds and 5 points. Rachel Starrs had 5 points. 
Kearsley
Linden girls basketball played at Kearsley Tuesday night and won 36 to 27. Alyssa Logie had a game high of 16 points 9 rebounds and 4 steals. Taylor Smith added 8 points, 3 rebounds , 3 assists and 4 steals.


Fenton
Friday night Linden v Fenton - Linden 55 Fenton 47 Bri Holscher led all scorers with 17 points. Taylor Smith had 13 points, 3 assists and 3 steals. Alyssa Logie added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Sydney Elmer had 6 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals.
Holly
Linden v Holly - Holly 63 Linden 43 Taylor Smith led Linden with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Alyssa Logie had 8 points and 6 rebounds. Miranda Greene scored 6 points, 2 steals and 1 assist.

Flushing
Linden varsity girls lost to Flushing 49 to 23. Alyssa Logie had 8 points, 5 rebounds. Jessie Spencer had 7 points and 6 rebounds. Bri Holscher had 5 points. 
Brandon
Varsity girls lost to Brandon 44 - 36 Friday night on the road. Alyssa Logie led Linden with 7 points and 6 rebounds. Bri Holscher had 6 points, 2 steals and 2 assists. Sydney Elmer also had 6 points, 6 rebounds and 5 steals.
South Lyon
The girls basketball program had another solid night as both the JV and Varsity squads had non-league victories on the road at South Lyon on Thursday.   The Varsity team beat South Lyon 51 to 43. Taylor Smith had 17 points 6 steals and 6 assists. Bri Holsher had 13 points. Alyssa Logie had 10 points and 9 rebounds. Lindens defense came up with 19 steals and had 14 assists. A well played game by all.
Lake Fenton
The varsity team  beat Lake Fenton 48 - 44. Taylor Smith led all scorers with 23 points. She was 11 for 14 from the free throw line, 8 rebounds and 5 steals. Bri Holscher had 9 points, 4 steals. Sydney Elmer, Sam Greene and Alyssa Logie all had 4 points. Alyssa had 7 rebounds and 5 steals.
Lapeer West
The varsity girls lost to Lapeer West 44-29.  Niki Sargent and Rachael Starrs both had 8 points.  Niki also had 9 rebounds.  Maija Satkowiak had 6 points and 9 rebounds.  Rachel Maxheimer had 4 assists and 3 steals.  The girls will play their first district game at Grand Blanc v. Grand Blanc on Wednesday at 7pm. 
Corunna
The varsity girls lost to Corunna 51-45.  Brianna Holscher had 12 points and 5 rebounds.  Kelsey Brecht 8 points and 6 rebounds.  Maija Sarkowiak had 7 points and 4 steals.  Rachael Starrs had 8 rebounds.  Alyssa Logie and Niki Sargent both had 6 rebounds.
Fenton
 The girls varsity basketball team lost a tough battle to Fenton 44-38. Maija Satkowiak had 13 points and 4 rebounds. Alyssa Logie had 8 rebounds. Kelsey Brecht had 6 points, 4 assists and 4 rebounds.
Clio
The varsity girls lost to Clio 25-44.  Maija Satkowiak had 8 points and 10 rebounds.  Niki Sargent had 7 points and 6 rebounds.
Lake Fenton
The girls lost a tough game to Lake Fenton 49-41.  Kelsey Brecht had 13 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals.  Maija Satkowiak had 11 points and 6 rebounds.  
Swartz Creek
The varsity girls beat Swartz Creek 36-33.  Niki Sargent recorded a "double-double" with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Maija Satkowiak also had 10 points and 3 assists.  Alyssa Logie had 7 rebounds. 
Brandon
The varsity girls beat Brandon 59-28.  Kelsey Brecht had 13 points, 3 steals and 3 assists.  Maija Satkowiak had 12 points.  Rachel Maxheimer and Alyssa Logie both had 11 points.  Maxheimer also had 3 steals and 3 assists.  Niki Sargent had 7 rebounds.  Alyssa Logie and Madison Polen both had 5 rebounds.  Sydney Elmer had 3 assists.  The girls played a great game.
Fowlerville
The varsity girls beat Fowlerville 36-32.  Kelsey Brecht had 16 points and 4 rebounds.  Maija Satkowiak had 12 points and 11 rebounds.  Sydney Elmer had 6 rebounds and 2 assists.  Alyssa Logie had 7 rebounds.  The girls play at Brandon on Friday.
Lapeer West
The varsity girls lost to Lapeer West 32-28. Niki Sargent had 9 points and 8 rebounds. Maija Satkowiak had 6 points 4 rebounds. Kelsey Brecht had 7 rebounds and 4 points. Rachel Maxheimer had 4 points, 4 assists and 6 steals. The girls play at Fowlerville on Tuesday.
Lapeer East
The varsity girls beat Lapeer East 54-13.  Niki Sargent had 16 points.  Maija Satkowiak had 11 points.  Bri Holscher had 7 rebounds and 6 points.  Sydney Elmer, Bri Holscher and Maija Satkowiak all had 3 assists.  The girls play at Lapeer West on Friday.
Fenton
The girls varsity lost to Fenton 48-38.  Maija Satkowiak had 15 points and 8 rebounds.  Kelsey Brecht and Alyssa Logie both had 6 points.  Rachel Maxheimer had 8 assists. 
Clio
The varsity girls lost a tough one to Clio 55-44.  Maija Satkowiak had 16 points and 12 rebounds.  Niki Sargent had 13 points and 10 rebounds.  Kelsey Brecht had 7 rebounds, 6 points and 5 assists.  
Holly
The girls varsity lost a tough one to Holly 31-40.  Leading the team was Maija Satkowiak with 6 points and 6 rebounds.  Sydney Elmer and Rachel Maxheimer both had 5 points.  Niki Sargent had 7 points.  Kelsey Brecht had 3 assists and 2 blocks.  
Kearsley
Varsity girls beat Kearsley 57-14.  Kelsey Brecht had 13 points and 5 steals.  Rachel Maxheimer had 10 points, 3 assists and 4 steals.  Rachael Starrs had 9 points.  Niki Sargent had 7 rebounds and Alyssa Logie had 6 rebounds.  All the girls scored.  
Creek
The varsity girls beat Swartz Creek 44-29.  Maija Satkowak had 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 steals.  Kelsey Brecht scored 10 points had 4 steals, 3 assists and 4 blocks.  Niki Sargent had 8 points and 6 rebounds.  Alyssa Logie and Rachel Maxheimer both had 2 assists.  The girls play at home on Friday.
Brandon
The varsity girls improved to 2-0 with a 45-32 victory over Brandon.  Kelsey Brecht led the team with 15 points, 6 rebounds, 5 steals and 4 assists.  Maija Satkowiak had 10 points and 5 steals.  Rachel Maxheimer had 5 assists and 6 steals.  Alyssa Logie pulled down 10 rebounds.  The girls play next Tuesday against Swartz Creek.
Lapeer East
 The varsity girls beat Lapeer East 59-19.  Kelsey Brecht scored 14 points, had 5 assists and 7 steals.  Alyssa Logie scored 10 points.  Rachel Maxheimer had 6 assists and 5 steals while adding 7 points.  Both Niki Sargent and Madisen Polen had 6 rebounds.  The girls played an awesome game as a team!!  They play next on Friday at home against Brandon.
